Andrew did my hair!

I've been wanting to start coloring my hair again, but didn't want to deal with going to a salon, especially when I'm cutting my hair at home now. So I picked up a 40 volume Manic Panic bleach kit & Ultra Violet hair color. Andrew was brave enough to help me out and do it for me! Neither of us have bleached hair before, but I’ve seen a few videos here and there that said to start with the ends and then go back and hit the roots after. He got through the first round, leaving about an inch at the roots, and it seemed to be lifting really quickly. Since it’s 40 volume, I didn’t want to mess around and risk burning my hair, so he went ahead and hit the roots without waiting any longer. The roots definitely lifted plenty in ten minutes, The ends could have used a bit longer, so next time I would wait five minutes after doing the ends before the roots. But I wasn’t going for blonde, just light enough to accommodate the purple, which was a success! It turned out absolutely awesome and none of my hair burned off!
